£37000 + up to 10%

We are currently working alongside one of our Leading Manufacturing clients to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer based in the Omagh/Dungannon area.

As a successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for using process improvement and problem solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools.

Your new role as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer;

  • Establish Manufacturing Engineering KPI's in line with company vision, regularly monitoring and reporting on progress.
  • Ensure all production feedback is followed through with ECO's driven to closure in a timely manner.
  • Prioritise continual improvement activity in line with company vision, developing project plans and driving to closure.
  • Provide technical leadership on manufacturing process improvement.
  • Define material standards and component specifications for legacy products.
  • Ensure product routings are maintained in line with manufacturing process improvements.
  • Drive value improvements through product & process standardisation.
  • Support production through design for manufacture improvements.
  • Lead the company quality management process.
  • Lead the product quality non-conformance root cause analysis process ensuring remedial actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Review & approve customer warranty claims.

What you will need to succeed as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer;

  • 3+ years' experience in engineering function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to engage people and lead change.
  • Demonstrated experience of engineering change management.
  • Competent in 3D CAD.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify & realise cost saving opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and tools.
  • Ability to lead root cause analysis of manufacturing quality / product failure with strong working knowledge of at least one of 5Y / 8D processes.
  • Ability to conduct cost benefit analysis and prioritise engineering projects accordingly.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
