Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our leading Food Manufacturing client based in County Tyrone with the recruitment of an experienced Quality Manager.

Your new role:

As Quality Manager you will be the lead the Food Safety Culture throughout a continually expanding site to ensure delivery of quality commitments to customers. Working closely with Production, Engineering you will be hands on, fostering and developing a high performing Quality Team.

  • Driving force behind all Food Safety Culture initiatives/quality standards within Production
  • Responsible for functionality of Quality team; structure, communication and effectiveness
  • Maintaining the Quality Management system
  • Reporting, analysis and feedback to the Site FSQ Manager
  • Attending Lean and Production Meetings
  • Regular meetings and action updates with Hygiene Manager
  • Integrity of process including label verifications
  • Non-conformance reporting and actions
  • Investigating using Root Cause Analysis
  • Completion of Audits GMP, Allergen etc
  • Follow up Pest control CAs
  • Schedule Validations and Schedule Calibrations
  • Review Service Level Agreements & Haulier approvals
  • Performance management and development plans
  • Drive the continuous improvement agenda within the team
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with all departments
  • Acting with integrity and due diligence according Business Code of Conduct

What you will need to succeed as a Quality Manager:

  • Relevant qualification in a Food Science or related area
  • Proven Supervisory/Management position within Food Manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management systems including HACCP
  • Experience dealing with customer and 3rd party audits
  • Ability to make decisions, help develop strategy and drive an agenda forward
  • Ability to manage a team through a change process
  • Keen interest in people development and performance management
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Self-starter, driven towards delivering improvements

What we have to offer:

***please note this is a Temporary role for 3 months***

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: circa £35-45K depending on experience
