Location: Belfast / UK projects travel 2-3 days
Salary: DOE competitive dependant on experience plus benefits

Our client is an award-winning Northern Ireland contractor delivering Construction, Civil engineering & infrastructure services for both public and private clients across the U.K. & Ireland.

Having recently acquired a portfolio of new projects going into 2021 they have an opportunity for an experienced Quantity surveyor to join their team. As a Project Quantity surveyor, you will travel to site 2/3 days a week and be responsible for the delivery and management of commercial profit on each project the company engages with.

Project Quantity Surveyor responsibilities

  • Negotiation with client, sub-contractors, suppliers to assure information (costs, profitability and value) meet budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare monthly reports on each assigned project including cost, value and reconciliation.
  • Provide Commercial manager with project costs analysis feedback on a regular basis.
  • Producing detailed documents providing quantities/schedules/documentation for procurement of sub-contract packages.
  • Assisting with bid and tender documentation, contractual terms and technical documentation.
  • Attendance, presentation and responding to enquiries or disputes at monthly progress meetings with the Client.
  • Travelling may be required as and when/where projects locations

Quantity Surveyor Criteria:

  • 3rd level Quantity Surveying qualification and minimum or construction related qualification
  • Ideally you will have 5+ years experience working for a Building contractor or civil engineering contractor
  • Experience of NEC form of contract highly desirable
  • A good level of IT literacy, especially in MS Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
