Covid-19 Employee Impact Survey

News at the weekend outlined a slow return to the workplace within the UK, starting with construction, engineering and manufacturing type roles. We did a quick survey of 200 employees within these these sectors to get a sense of how they are feeling about the current situation.

Other responses included: Finding a new job (for those made redundant), heavy workload, overall effect on the economy.

 

Q3 What measures is your employer taking to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 spreading (please tick all that apply)

  • New flexible working patterns (split shifts)
  • Resource to work from home – laptops, phones, access to systems etc.
  • Providing sick pay to all self-isolating staff
  • Creating safe, social distancing compliant workplaces

  • Ensure social distancing
  • More communication/information and reassurance
  • Focus on health and safety

About 12% of responses stated that their employers were already doing a great job and there was nothing more that could be done.
